RIPPL.E KIDS’ ADVENTURE (www.rippleconnor.org.uk) Our boys and girls enjoyed their Big Kids’ Adventure in St. Patrick’s Parish Hall, Ballymoney. Thanks to Sarah and Lyndsay for their help.
Sunday School: Boys and girls leave from Church accompanied by our Sunday school teachers following the children’s hymn. Activities run from 11.50-12.30pm during school term time. The young people listen to and are encouraged to participate in Bible stories and a craft activity relating to the story or a game helps them to understand the meaning of the Bible story. We sing songs together using actions and the session closes with prayer. Every boy and girl is welcome and a valued member of our Sunday School. Mrs Frances Moorhead sits beside the Baptismal font and marks the children’s Church Loyalty cards each Sunday in Church.
CHURCH MISSIONARY SOCIETY IRELAND our Sunday School project was based on CMSI resources “Little Lights” during Lent 2015 and our young people discovered what it means to be part of the worldwide church with special focus on D.R. Congo. On Palm Sunday 29th March our children had a short Children’s Church in the Parish Hall at 11.00am (following our Broadcast Service and refreshments) and Lyndsay our Sunday School Co-ordinator made a short Project presentation with some of the teachers and children. Missionary boxes for CMSI were returned.
SUNDAY SCHOOL – CHILDREN’S DAY took place on June 14th. The children received their S.S. prizes. Our Sunday School BBQ on the previous Friday was good fun. Story Mat took place during summer months when children left Church before the sermon for a story.
Holiday Bible Club 2015 – “Fruitfunanza” majored on the “Fruits of the Spirit” from Galatians. We hope that the boys and girls will remember all about the fruits from their craft, drama and song. Our puppet friends made their first appearance this year and went down a treat. Thank you to the team for their great work this year. Thanks to the kind parishioners who provided the juice, biscuits and ice-cream for our refreshments. It was a time of fun and learning. For 2015 photos – log onto St Patrick’s Parish Church, Broughshane – on facebook.
